The Plan
Our plans seem to change and evolve everyday. As of today, the current plan is to leave Florida in early April and drive to Colorado. Why Colorado you ask?? I think I have wanted to move to Colorado since I was old enough to know there was such a place. Of course Connie has also seen tons of photos and heard all the hype about how beautiful Colorado is. We both love the mountains and can't wait to take advantage of all the great outdoor stuff Colorado has to offer. We drove through Colorado a few years ago on a trip to Moab, Utah. We didn't get a chance to spend much time there but loved the scenery and loved Moab, which is just over the CO/UT border. We want to find the perfect location to settle down and raise Christopher. I know that "perfect location" seems to be getting harder and harder to find these days. Drugs and violence seem to be everywhere you turn. Watching the news is depressing, whether its Florida news or Colorado news. We just want to be happy and we want to do our best to get this parenting thing right. We are excited about the new start, the new lifestyle and the new location. The hardest part of this will be leaving our friends and family here in Florida. So far they have all been very supportive and of course most know how much I have always wanted to move to Colorado.

The Short and Sweet Background Story
What follows will be the story, the life and what we hope are the adventures, discoveries and new beginnings of a man, his wife and their son.
My name is Mike, my wife is Connie and our son is Christopher. After spending my entire adult life giving 110% to a company that turns out had absolutely no respect or appreciation for the dedication and hard work I gave them, I was terminated on January 20, 2010. After the initial shock, panic, anger, frustration and fear faded Connie and I had lots to decide on. We had been struggling financially for the past year. Partially due to the economy and partially due to us being a young couple that wanted it all and lived beyond our means. For years things were going very well for us. We both had great jobs, the money was good and we were happy. We wanted to share our life and happiness with a child and in 2007 had the best thing that has ever happened to either of us, Christopher.
Like most couples our lives have been full of happy times, sad times and everything in between. I am incredibly lucky to have Connie in my life and having Christopher has given us both the greatest gift in life. He is our inspiration, strength and the driving force behind our decision to embark on this new life journey.
We are excited to start our journey and will keep this blog updated with every step of our full time RV adventure living and the new places and faces discovered along the way.
