Pagosa Springs Happy Camper Campground

We settled into the Happy Camper Campground just outside of Pagosa Springs. This is a beautiful area that Frank and I visited a few years ago. The campground is great. The owners have two boys, 3 and 5, so they have a great playhouse overlookng the stream behind the campground. They have mini horses, a cat named Fred and a dog. We spent most of the day at the laundromat in town doing $25 worth of laundry in 5 machines. Man this stuff builds up fast, but it has been 3 weeks since our last wash day. We ate a late lunch at a great Chinese place a lady in town recommended and then back to camp to pack clothes away and catch up on blog entries and emails. We said goodbye to Frank and Michelle yesterday but ran into them in town today when we were looking for a laundromat. They are visiting Frank's Uncle here and were headed out for some sightseeing. We had a great time traveling with them. Living arrangements were tight but I think we all made the best of it. Most campgrounds had pretty nice showers and bathroom facilities. We only cooked once and ate out every meal the whole trip. Not good on the budget but it made the trip much easier. It drained us all having to set up and breakdown every night and every morning. Most nights we left the RV connected to the Suburban to make things go quicker. This worked well and didn't hurt our ability to keep it level.
